New survey launched to help shape homeownership program in Revelstoke

A new survey has been launched by Community Futures Revelstoke and the City to support the development of their affordable homeownership program called, “Revy Own”.

The new program is designed for the city’s workforce and long-term residents.

The survey aims to gather information about household and financial situations from locals, and potential buyer’s employment. The City and Community Futures Revelstoke said the results will guide the program eligibility rules, resale price caps and housing design.

“This survey is an important next step in shaping Revy Own,” said Kevin Dorrius, General Manager of Community Futures Revelstoke. “By hearing directly from local residents, we can make sure this program reflects actual housing needs for the people who work and live here.”

The deadline for the survey is Nov. 30 and is strictly confidential.

All locals are encouraged to partake in the survey.
