Suvivors’ Flag raised in Spirit Square in Golden

The Town of Golden has raised the Survivors’ Flag in Spirit Square in honour of Truth and Reconciliation.

The Town said the flag is a symbol of remembrance and honour of residential school survivors. It is also to honour the impacted lives and communities.

There will be an event tomorrow, Sept. 20 held by the Métis Nation Columbia River Society for reflection, remembrance and community healing. The event will take place at the Golden Civic Centre starting at 1 p.m.
