Golden gets started on two infrastructure projects this week

The Town of Golden has two infrastructure projects starting this week.

The Bears Paw Reservoir will be offline for two weeks beginning September 20 for cleaning and maintenance. Water will remain safe to drink, but temporary cloudiness and pressure drops may occur.

People in the south bench area are asked to limit outdoor watering to handheld hoses. The work is expected to finish by October 3.

Utility installation work for the Groundwater Well 7 project began today near 5th Street South and Riverglen Drive, causing a road closure and traffic detours.

Throughout construction traffic will be re-routed and drivers should follow all signage, detours, and allow extra time to travel.

No services will be affected, and the work should be complete by October 5.

Roadway and walkway access will be open for public traffic when it is safe to do so.
