The Town of Golden is reminding residents to prepare for snowfall as municipal crews gear up for snow removal.
Town staff are preparing to clear snow to help keep roads and sidewalks safe, the municipality said in a notice.
According to the Town of Golden, their average snowfall is 184 centimeters, and when it does snow, the Town clears more than 55 km of roads and over 20 km of trails and sidewalks. They said that residents can contribute and help out make the snow removal process as easy as possible.
The town is asking residents to keep vehicles off of roadways and alleyways leading up to and after a storm event. They also suggest keeping the roads, alleys and boulevards clear of woodpiles, basketball nets, boats, travel trailers, recreational vehicles and anything else that could get in the way of snow removal or emergency vehicles.
