DriveBC is advising drivers of a scheduled closure on a section of Highway 1 this Friday due to avalanche control work.
Highway 1 will be closed in both directions between the Illecillewaet Brake Check and Hemlock Grove Boardwalk starting at 9 a.m. on March 6. The closure covers a 9.3-kilometre stretch of highway.
DriveBC said no detour will be available and drivers should expect intermittent closures of up to two hours.
