Revelstoke off-road organizations receive funding from B.C. government

The Revelstoke ATV Club and Sled Revelstoke are receiving funding from the B.C. government to support new projects.

As part of the Off-Road Vehicle Trail Fund, up to $500,000 will support 24 projects in 2026, including trail construction and maintenance, and initiatives promoting safe and responsible riding.

“Outdoor recreation is increasingly recognized as essential to our well-being, community connection and regional economic development,” Environment and Parks Minister Tamara Davidson said. “The ORV Trail Fund helps remove financial barriers for communities and volunteer groups that dedicate thousands of hours to maintaining trail networks, ensuring they remain safe, accessible and sustainable for years to come.”

The Revelstoke ATV Club will receive $17,000 for infrastructure maintenance, including a main chalet roof replacement. Sled Revelstoke will receive $25,000 for an outhouse upgrade.

The ORV Trail Fund is a partnership between the provincial government and local groups that use off-road vehicle trails for snowmobiles, ATVs and dirt bikes. The fund is in its ninth year and is supported through ICBC off-road vehicle registration fees across the province.

The provincial government said projects supported by the fund are primarily led by volunteer groups and community organizations.

So far, $2.5 million has supported 184 projects in B.C.
