The 4th annual Revelstoke Burger Challenge, put on by the Revelstoke Bear Aware Society, has kicked off this week, with 14 unique burgers for food-lovers to try, and to place their vote for the best burger.
This annual challenge is also a fundraiser, with proceeds going towards the Revelstoke Fruit Share Program, that helps those with fruit plants reduce bear visits by harvesting fruit, as well as donate excess fruit to food banks.
Participating restaurants and their burgers competing in this two-week challenge are:
- Paramjit’s Kitchen with their Pulled Beef Masala Burger
- River City Pub with their Sultan Burger
- Terravita’s Kitchen with their Harvest and Pink Magnolia
- The Taco Club with their La Melosa
- The Den Revelstoke with The McGrizzly
- The Village Idiot – TBD
- Quatermaster Eatery – TBD
- Zalas with The Candied Outlaw
- Hillcrest with The Large MacFarlane
- Dose Coffee with their Parmy/Parmi
- The Chesterfield with their Pork Belly y la Bestia
- Cantina Del Centro with their Smashed Boarguesa
- Big Eddy Pub with their Chimi Jack Stack
- Kawakubo with The Kawabunga Burger
The restaurant with the most burger votes will be crowned “Best Burger”. People have until Oct. 19 to taste their burgers and place their votes.
