Major success at City of Revelstoke open house

The City of Revelstoke hosted a multipurpose facility open house to update the community on the condition of the current arena facility. Nearly 400 people attended.

“We were pleased to have 120 people join us in person and another 264 participate online,” the City said in a statement.

Staff are currently compiling answers to all questions that were submitted. Once complete, these responses will be posted on the arena project page, which can be found on the TalkRevelstoke website.

Chief Administrative Officer Evan Parliament said he was very happy with the turnout for the Feb. 25 open house.

“Close to 400 folks joined in for the three-hour open house. Our invited panel members provided a very thorough overview of the challenges affecting the Revelstoke Forum. I want to personally thank the residents for taking time to engage on this very important topic,” he said.

The city is encouraging those who were unable to attend to view the open house on Youtube. They also recommend all residents take part in the online survey launching March 2.
