The City of Revelstoke invites community to the 2026 Canada Day Celebration

The City of Revelstoke has announced plans for this year’s Canada Day celebrations so the public can plan ahead.

Led by the city’s Parks, Recreation and Culture (PRC) team, events will include kids’ bike decorating at 12:30 p.m. Visitors can head to Grizzly Plaza for the event, held in partnership with Skookum Revelstoke. Decorations will be provided.

Children with decorated bikes may join the parade if they are interested. Prize giveaways will also be available.

Following the kickoff event, the official Canada Day Parade will begin at 1 p.m. The city is inviting the community to cheer on the parade as it travels from the Revelstoke Courthouse, down First Street and along Mackenzie Avenue, ending at Queen Elizabeth Park.

Festivities will continue at Queen Elizabeth Park starting at 2 p.m. with an opening ceremony, flag raising, live music, cultural performances, complimentary cupcakes, food vendors, family activities, a beer garden and entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening, including a performance by Shoestring Necktie as part of REVYLive.

The city said anyone interested in volunteering or registering a parade float can visit rvst.ca/CanadaDay or email prc@revelstoke.ca.
